Los Angeles psychotherapist

Meg Lopez-Cepero, LMFT

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California with 15 years of experience working in the mental health field. I specialize in relationship counseling and trauma therapy.

Although I enjoy working with a diverse group of clients in my practice, I'm uniquely qualified to assist survivors of domestic violence and abuse. I completed a 2-year clinical internship at Women Organized to Make Abuse Nonexistent (W.O.M.A.N., Inc.), where I not only received over 40 hours of specialized training in the area of domestic violence and abuse, but provided crisis counseling, psychotherapy, and support group services to survivors of intimate partner violence. Since ending the clinical internship, I've remained committed and passionate about guiding and supporting survivors as they break free and heal from unhealthy relationships.

Prior to entering the mental health field and becoming a licensed psychotherapist, I worked in both the legal world and the arts. I pride myself on working collaboratively and making strong connections with both analytical and creative individuals.

Psychotherapy Style and Approach

My style is warm, engaging, and mindful of each client or couple’s unique difficulties, strengths and goals. During our work together, I'll instill hope, actively listen to issues and concerns, affirm feelings and experiences, provide feedback, and offer helpful resources and tools.

I approach the process of therapy as an equal partner and believe in both respectfully challenging and empowering clients to make choices that align with their values and support their goals.
